At 27 with that income you are in your absolute prime years for stashing cash away for retirement and building up savings for a down payment on a house. Get a 2014 economy car for 10 15k that will last you another 10 years while saving like crazy.

Thanks for the reply. I curious, when you say your sons „love their screen time”, can you give more detail? I ask because my son basically begs constantly for it. On weekends for example he basically just follow me around begging until I get frustrated enough that I tell him if he asks again he won get any screen time for the rest of the weekend. If he in front of a screen, I swear I could walk away for 10 hours and he just sit there playing. My daughter eventually gets bored and will look for something else to do, and she never begs. I had some concern my son desire for screens is outside of what normal, but I don have any comparison so I don know if that true.
While I am sure there will be mark ups on this car initially, I don think they will last if you willing to call around. The previous GT4 was only fetching $5 10k over initially. Porsche already said this isn going to be a limited production car and can be built on the same line as the 911 instead of taking up space on the normal GT limited capacity production line.
People making dream car posts about Mustangs and Challengers and Corvettes are generally celebrating finally getting the car they dreamed of after saving up for a significant amount of time. If they just buy one on a whim with cash they had lying around then I agree, calling it an attainable dream car is just as pointless as calling a Fiesta or a Transit one. The point of an attainable dream car IMO is that it a stretch for you to get it, you have to make sacrifices, but you get the car anyway because it the car you been dreaming of for ages. For one person that might be saving up for years to buy a new sports car. For another it might be buying a cheap ratty version of the car they want and spending their own time building it into exactly what they want. But the point is that they put time and effort into it, because it their dream.
Between these two, the 7th generation is much better looking and obviously newer. The one you’ll want is the GT S, which has a wing! More importantly, it has Toyota’s 2ZZ GE engine. Yamaha contributed to the engine design, which means that this 1.8 L inline 4 behaves much like a sports bike engine it revs to 8,000 rpm and pushes out 180 hp in this application. I live in a metro with 2.4 million people and we only have 21 places to get seats checked. Out of those 21 places, we have 2 you can stop by any day of the week at any time, 2 you can make an appointment for any time during their business hours, and the rest either have monthly/bimonthly/quarterly car seat check fairs. My i3 has the 20″ tires without winter tires, you will need to use Traction Control, drive carefully and slower than you probably used to. I don feel like the car is going to lose control on straights; its mostly in turning in snow/ice and definitely resistant braking gives the whole car a shimmy slide move which is disconcerting. My rear wheel drive M3 with blizzaks was almost like driving with an SUV in snow much more control.

If the consensus view around the car from the company to owners who hold the company accountable is „hey, you’re contributing to the future of self driving” as it’s seemed to be, then I can’t be in. But if the pitch is „this is a great car that’s great to drive and brings the future to today” I’m interested in learning more. Hope that makes sense.
After hours on the World Wide Web, the cheapest option I could find was a universal 02 sensor for 67.99 at AutoZone. I also came across some posts for VW’s, BMW’s, and Mercs all stating that they were using cheap Ford oxygen sensors, and replacing the harness plug, like you would have to do with the universal 02 sensor anyway. I could not find any documentation on someone using this sensor on an MKIV, but others stated it works great on their MKIII, so for the greater good of mankind I gave it a go.
